Nathan Wendorf

Pastor Wendorf has been the lead Pastor at St. Paul since 2010. He and his wife Kristine have a son Jonathan who was born in March 2009, a daughter, Tabitha born in April 2013, son Caleb born Sept 2016 and their newest addition, daughter Tabitha born Feb 2019.  Before coming to St. Paul, he served for 5 1/2 years at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney, TX. Pastor graduated with an M. Div.from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2005 and is also a graduate from Concordia Chicago with a BA in Elementary Education and his Lutheran Teacher Diploma in 2001.

 

He has completed advance training in Pastoral Leadership Institute and continues his professional development through Pastor360. In June of 2021 he was elected by the Texas District of the LCMS as the Vice-president for Area C to a four year term. In this role he will serve on the Texas District Board of Directors and as part of the presidium working closely with the district president especially with the congregations in Area C including Austin, Hill Country, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, RGV and the areas surrounding them.

 

In Harlingen he has been involved with the Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Harlingen Program. Nathan also serves as the Vice President on the Board of Habitat for Humanity of the Rio Grande Valley. Nathan has a heart for the local church and connecting people with Jesus. He has served on mission and teaching teams in Mexico, India, and Mongolia.

 

Nathan grew up almost his entire life in Northeast Ohio and is a very avid Cleveland Indians fan and The Ohio State Buckeyes! The Wendorf’s enjoy spending lots of time hiking, the zoo, the beach and playing outside year around in beautiful Harlingen! The Wendorf’s love living and serving along side with the people of St. Paul and look forward to see how God will continue work through them here!
